Tiki

Tiki or heitiki are traditional prestige ornaments created by Māori, highly valued treasures (taonga).

Most tiki were worn around the neck, often by women, and their symbology carries deep cultural meaning. Variations exist in arm placement, head tilts, and whether a patu/mere is held.

I found this item lent itself exceptionally well to the glass medium, though it requires extensive grinding and shaping to achieve the tight internal contours.
